Internal Sales Manager – Onsite position, based at our clients stunning head office in Poole – Competitive basic salary of up to £65k, plus bonus incentive and other great benefits.

We are looking to recruit an experienced Internal Sales Manager for a leading organisation within the FMCG, distribution,
and fulfilment sector.  The successful Sales Manager will lead and develop a high performing team of Account Managers and Sales Support staff within a very busy, fast paced environment.

This is a key leadership role focused on driving sales performance, improving processes, and ensuring exceptional customer
experiences.

Internal Sales Manager key responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, and motivate the Account Management and Sales Support teams to achieve revenue, margin, and growth targets.
  • Support the delivery of the company’s sales strategy and contribute to business development initiatives.
  • Set and monitor sales targets, prepare reports, and provide accurate monthly forecasts.
  • Manage all people related aspects of the team including recruitment, training, and performance management.
  • Analyse KPIs to identify opportunities for improvement and strengthen the sales pipeline.
  • Collaborate with marketing, operations, and customer service to optimise sales processes and meet customer expectations.
  • Contribute to bids and tenders in partnership with the Bid Manager.
  • Support digital transformation and sales enablement initiatives.

What the Internal Sales Manager will bring to the role:

  • Proven experience in sales management, ideally within an internal or inside sales environment.
  • Strong leadership and coaching abilities with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
  • Solid understanding of sales techniques, lead generation, and closing strategies.
  • Experience in B2B sales, preferably within FMCG, distribution, or fulfilment sectors.
  • Proficiency in CRM/ERP systems and data analysis tools to monitor and drive performance.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • A proactive, analytical mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
