Our client, an established organisation within the construction sector, are looking to employ a qualified HR Manager to join their head office team, in New Milton. The successful candidate will be fully CIPD qualified with experience of working in a standalone / management level, with confidence and expertise to lead the people strategy for the business. You will need to be fully CIPD Qualified, with excellent communication skills, up to date employment law knowledge and a proactive, hands-on approach.

Key Responsibilities of the HR Manager role:
• Updating and implementing new, up to date policies and procedures, contracts, staff handbooks, job descriptions, appraisals and other people related documentation
• As part of the senior management team, you will be the company’s expert on all things HR related; providing a knowledgeable and confident sounding board for all people related business decisions and their impact on employees
• Take the lead on Employee Relations, Policies & Procedures, Learning & Development and Employee Benefits
• Ensure all people related activity is managed proactively, effectively and in accordance with the latest employment law legislation and guidance
• Build and maintain influential relationships with the senior management team, working closely with them to create and implement an inclusive sustainable people strategy
• Onboard new starters, ensuring they have a robust induction training plan in place
The ideal HR Manager candidate will have/be:
• A minimum of three years’ managerial, generalist HR experience
• At least Level 5 CIPD qualified
• A passionate people person, with a positive and proactive approach to HR
• Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice methodologies
• Proven ability to influence at senior level
• A commitment to personal and professional development
• A confident and resilient self-starter; comfortable with working on your own initiative
• Exceptional communication and organisational skills
