ACCOUNT MANAGER JOB SUMMARY:
Our dynamic client who has recently embarked on an exciting period of growth, is recruiting a results driven, organised Account Manager to join their organisation.
The Account Manager will be responsible for the growth and development of their assigned brand within existing accounts and in new strategic accounts across an assigned area.  The primary focus of the Account Manager is to meet company sales and margin targets by cultivating relationships, creating and executing business plans with a commercial focus in accounts, and engaging in spot deals/trading with tactical/wholesale customer.

ACCOUNT MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and implement Account Plans for accounts in line with company objectives.
  • Follow the marketing plans within the account base, to help build all brands.
  • Provide feedback to the Line Manager as and when needed.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with your customers to ensure thorough communication network across all tiers.
  • Utilize those connections to promote growth in alignment with established strategic goals across all accounts.
  • Attain set targets for the account portfolio in accordance with objectives and to meet overall budget expectations.
  • Develop the product range within the account base to align with current market trends and strategic brand development of the organization.
  • Conduct range reviews in all accounts to deliver NPD in line with launch timings.
  • Maximize activity in store to ensure maximum gain of shelf exposure from key selling areas, either through liaising with buying / marketing teams when planning a program layout, or by in store relationship building.
  • Produce accurate and prompt product and account forecasts, and present findings and feedback on competitor activity, in internal stakeholder meetings.
  • Manage all internal processes such as price files and distribution matrixes.
  • Ensure regular face to face and electronic contact with customers within your allocated account base, ensuring that you do regular review meetings and deliver training, where required.
  • Ensure that you update internal systems with updates / changes at all times.

 ACCOUNT MANAGER KEY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

  • Degree level education – ideal for this role
  • 2 – 4 years’ experience in an Account Management / Sales environment, ideally within FMCG / retail organisations.
  • Knowledge of Retail Environments – (Dept Store/Mass Market/ FMCG/Online)
  • Proficient in MS Office and a strong knowledge of Excel.
  • You will need to have a full UK licence for this role as you will be required to travel to customers premises.
  • Working remotely, but there may be occasions where you are required to meet at the head office in Poole, Dorset – training, meetings etc.

PLEASE NOTE: This is fully remote role, however site visits will be required. Majority of your portfolio will be based in Northern England: London, Leicestershire, Edinburgh (very rarely) & Nottingham.
