JOB SUMMARY:
Our client, based in Wimborne, is a world leader in the development, design and manufacturing of machinery.
This role involves working with electrical panels, machines, and equipment, and requires technical skills in electrical assembly, wiring, testing, and documentation. It also requires a strong commitment to safety and a proactive approach towards process improvement.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
All panel building and wiring – working from electrical drawings.
- Installation of electrical panels into machines.
- Machine wiring, termination to electrical panel.
- Undertake electrical tests, safety check and complete appropriate documentation.
- Assist, where required, with other tasks within the Controls Department, such as physical wiring inspections, installation checks, machine testing, etc.
- Supporting a culture of continuous business improvement.
- Commissioning of electromechanical machines.
- Ensuring strict adherence to the company’s Health and Safety policies
KEY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
Time served apprenticeship OR suitable gained experience in an electrical assembly role.
- At least 2 years of experience of panel board population, AND / OR
- Machine wiring and testing of complex electromechanical machines.
- Ability to read and follow electrical circuit drawings.
- Familiarity with Automated production machinery or other similar capital equipment. (Desirable not essential)
- Diagnostic fault-finding experience gained in working in a low volume, batch production electromechanical assembly environment. (Desirable not essential)
- Pneumatic installation and commissioning experience. (Desirable not essential)
